SISTERS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
During the month of February 2006, SIB celebrated
Black History and the Grand Opening of its "SISTERS-IN-BUSINESS.COM NETWORK.
SIB paid special tribute to the "legacy and livelihood" of African-American
Women Business Owners.
Today we would like to recognize all the strides
and accomplishments made by the many women entrepreneurs throughout U.S.
history; the contributions they have made to sisterhood, and their great value
in the business economy, and society as a whole.

About Business Expo
Earn Extra
Income! Business
vendors
in the Sisters
in Business Holiday Shopping Showcase will also provide info
about business, employment, and networking opportunities
with those interested in starting a business, gaining
employment, and/or making contacts for networking.
Opportunities to earn additional income for the holidays and
thereafter along with other incentives can also be explored
amongst participating "direct selling" or multi-level
marketing type vendors. Be sure to ask vendors about
business, networking, or employment opportunities.
Top
Businesses offering direct selling opportunities provide
important benefits to individuals who desire to earn an
income, or build a business of their own. Direct selling
offers an alternative to traditional employment for those
who desire an opportunity to 1) earn a flexible income, 2)
earn a supplemental household income; or 3) compensate for
the responsibilities or circumstances that do not allow them
to have a regular part-time or full time job. In many cases,
direct selling opportunities develop into a fulfilling
career for those who achieve success and choose to pursue
their independent direct selling business on a full time
basis.

Dr. Rumph's "Belvoir Plaza" Networking In the Community
The "Belvoir Plaza" Open House was a wonderful networking
experience for host
Dr. Thomas Rumph, also the owner of the new Brainerd
business, and the attending guests. Guests included SIB Network members, Chattanooga and Atlanta
businesses, and community friends. The event took
place on Saturday
September 15, 2007, and resulted in good attendance, and media coverage, thanks to
the Tennessee Multicultural Chamber of Commerce (TN-MCC), The
Courier Newspaper, Power 94 Radio, Chattanooga Times Free Press, and
Brainerd News. Photos were also taken by Jim Stevens,
owner of Brainerd News.

“The
event worked out quite well! And we still are building on
the flow of the success. I also think it added to me getting a
write up in the Chattanooga Free Press.” -Dr. Thomas Rumph
Said by Dr. Rumph regarding the event
“The
event worked out quite well! And we still are building
on the flow of the success. I think it added to me
getting a write up in the Chattanooga Free Press.” The event
yielded phone and
email inquiries from individuals interested in knowing more
about office space rental opportunities for the building.
Interest came from both local area Chattanooga as well as
inquirers from Atlanta.
Sisters In Business.Net owner Tekelia C. Kelly advertised
and promoted the event for SIB Business Partner Dr. Thomas Rumph. Success Realty Stan Brown provided tenant rental
services and
property
information.
