Nikki, currently a member of Thankful Baptist Church, began her
own musical journey at age 9 when she was presented in concert
at Union Grove Baptist Church under the direction of James
Elder. She attended and graduated from Brainerd High School
where she excelled musically as she won talent contest after
talent contests. Nikki went on to attend Knoxville College on a
music scholarship and it was during this time she and her
sister, Sean Stewart formed the R& B group "Leather". Leather
performed throughout the southeastern region including venues in
Atlanta and at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival.
