Hamilton County Creates Summer Youth Jobs.  Sisters In Business Welcomes Opportunity to Support!

Sisters In Business applauds the efforts of Hamilton County for the creation of summer youth jobs for area youth this summer as part of the "Summer Youth Leadership Development and Work Program" This initiative also mirrors similar support offered by Sisters in Business Youth In Business- AYES Strategy.   Read more about County's initiative in following section.

Commissioners in Hamilton County approved a resolution for the "Summer Youth Leadership Development and Work Program".  The program is only in its infancy, but Commissioner Greg Beck says that this could make a big impact in the community.

Said Greg Beck according to WTVC local news report "This is just a very small step in trying to reach all those kids.  I hope that companies will come on board.

It is hoped that next year the initiative will make for hiring even more young people.

Commissioners say the program will work very much like a regular job, and will be a good way for teens to learn the value of responsibility.
